Hey readers! I'm so glad to be back to the familiar sounds of Taylor Swift, typing noises, and a comfortable cup of coffee.
Finals are over now, I'm in 12th grade! Honestly, 2022 went by so quickly I still have not processed even the significant parts of it.
Recently I noticed that the infamous site for book readers like me, (people who don't like to buy overpriced books) has been shut down. The name of the site was Zlibrary by the way. Aside from my extra reads from genres like Romance, Young Adult, etc, it used to be such a brilliant site for educational resources too.
I know you are probably thinking about how it was shut for a noble cause like authors need their revenue right?
But my honest question to all of you is, what about the people who don't have enough money to help this author out. Shouldn't books and education be free of cost?
In my personal opinion, I wholeheartedly believe that books should be free, no matter who the author, what the topic, books, and education are simple things in this world that every individual deserves access to, whether the rich or the poor, the old or the young, the might or the mouse. Books give people exposure, understanding of the world, perspective on different topics and honestly if it weren't for books and memories we would not even have a history as a subject in our school course today. It is frankly quite fascinating how the past only exists in our heads, but we give so much power to it.
I am well aware that shutting down a website is not the end of the world, but in my head, this may be the beginning of bigger things. I know I probably just read too many conspiracy theories.
Now that I'm done with my rant, I hope you guys liked this update, its been fun being here!
Until next time, dear reader
